We are just back from vacation this morning via an overnight flight: a little bleary eyed but ever so emotionally refreshed. We spent abundant time walking in gardens and bobbing with the ocean's ebb and flow. This picture of Grace in the garden depicts her concern over a passing bumblebee - newfound fears include bees of any sort, "buggies" and dragon flies. We are steadily working to convince Grace that these creatures are our friends, but it's as if her fear is innate (although of course it could have been learned - not from me...) so perhaps we will have an uphill battle ahead.

A bumblebee free stroll in late afternoon sun.
beautiful light in your pictures
ReplyDeleteThank you, Gabrielle. We were in Kauai where the sun goes down waaay earlier than it does in Vancouver - so nice to be able to be outside in that light (rather than have the baby in bed already!). xx
DeleteBeautiful light and depth, what lens did you use? x

Thank you, Sylvia. I love chasing that light... I was traveling so I took only one lens with me which was the Canon 24-105mm. I used an aperture of f/4 for this pic and I think I was a little ways from her, zoomed in (it helped that she was perfectly still, monitoring the bumblebee). I wish we could be outside walking in late day sun like that more often - the sun sets quite late here these days (not complaining!) and Gracie is already in bed. xx
