At the outset of 2013 I devised a grand plan to introduce more greens into my diet and to learn about foraging. I didn't quite get there with the foraging (at all actually), however on Friday morning Gracie and I met a friend and her little one for a hike in the woods where we found ourselves picking wild blueberries, huckleberries, salmon berries and raspberries.

It was pretty swell - I need more foraging in my life!

  1. IN LOVE with this picture Melinda, so beautiful! We have been adding a lot more fruit and veggies to our diet as well, it really is incredible how much better I have felt because of it! xx

    1. Thanks Jennifer! It's so heartwarming to see the little ones eat greens and find food in nature - now if only I can teach her that she has to ask first before eating things off of trees and bushes!

    1. Thanks , Laura! We had so much fun that we went again today (Sunday). My husband had a small freak out given that everything edible in nature seems to have a non-edible (and possibly poisonous) twin... But we were careful and everything was super yummy!
