Yet another overly wet Vancouver week has come and gone. Gracie and I found ourselves indoors more often than not, luckily spending some quality time at the Vancouver Aquarium. The Aquarium is a great place to be on a rainy day, and if you're willing to surrender to the elements, Penguin Point in particular is quite exciting. Since G is so small, she has the perfect vantage point from which to spot swimming penguins, shouting "dere goes, dere goes!" when they dive by the window. African penguins are definitely Gracie's new favourite creatures (although it's possible they are tied for first place with Tod, the neighbourhood cat-king). Once home from Van Aqua, we played by Gracie's front window, soaking up any remaining light from the day.

Seeing our babe shout excitedly about the penguins, feeling her experience both awe and fear in response to giant blue butterflies, watching her embrace being wet in the rain, hearing her say for the first time "music, I yike it" - these are a few of the things I loved about this week with Grace.
